Web Folders – Manage resources via Windows Explorer
With IT Hit WAE v.2.0 you will be able to upload unlimited file structures with a single copy-paste operation. Now users with appropriate permissions can create, delete, copy, move, resources and resource folders using Windows Explorer.
New Resource Manager – Create, Delete, Copy, Move Galleries via Web Interface
IT Hit WAE v.2.0 installs completely new Resource Manager. Now you have full access to your resources via convenient web interface. Unique drug-and-drop features, contexts menus and original IT Hit trees are giving the look and feel of desktop interface.
New Insert Image and Insert Attachment Dialogs
All power of new Resource Manager is now available in these two dialogs that replace standard MCMS Web Author pages. You can navigate resources galleries structure, preview images, upload files, create galleries, delete items and edit properties. For SingleImagePlaceholderControl and SingleAttachmentPlaceholderControl selected resource is found in tree structure and highlighted.
Telerik r.a.d. Editor MCMS Edition Integration
WAE v2.0 integrates with Telerik r.a.d. Editor MCMS Edition. With WAE you can easily replace r.a.d. Editor “Insert Image”, “Insert Document” and “Select Internal Link” dialogs. You are able to drag-and-drop Resources and Channel Items to r.a.d. Editor placeholder from WAE Workspace tree and from new “Insert Image”, “Insert Document” and “Resources Manager” dialogs.
Workspace – Manage all MCMS Items From a Single Location
Now you can access any pages, resources and templates from a single location. You can quickly approve a group of pages, create connected page with a single drag-and-drop operation or insert an image to a placeholder dragging it from the workspace tree. All dialogs now open as Internet Explorer dialogs similar to desktop applications.
Channel Items Sorting Tab and Create New Channel Dialog
“Channel Properties” dialog is extended with “Channel Items Sorting” Tab, so you can sort items directly from Web Author. Users with necessary permissions can now create new channels with “Create New Channel” dialog.
Drag-and-Drop features – Content Management Has Never Been Faster
- Copy and move operations in channels, resources and template trees.
- Create new pages with dragging a template on a channel in a workspace tree
- Create connected pages dragging a page on a channel simply holding an Alt key.

Permissions-Driven Context Menus
With new context menus you are able to Submit, Approve, Decline postings, Access Properties; Create New and Connected pages; Kill Locks on pages; Create and Delete Channels, Postings, Resource Galleries, etc. Individual menu items are enabled only if user has enough permissions to perform operation. User can go to Unpublished, Edit or Published mode directly from tree structure.
Tree Multiselection
You can use multiselection to Submit, Approve, Decline, Kill Lock or Delete any quantity of tree items with a single click.
Ready to use Popup Console
The new popup console uses floating frame so it is not overlapped by TEXTAREA, SELECT and ActiveX controls. Console is called with a double click on a page thus it does not break user interface. It also contains new console actions.
Thumbnails Generator
It enables software developers to create thumbnail of any resource. You just specify the size of a resource in the URL request. Resource can be either truncated or restricted by maximum size.
